Who We Are

Communal Dining is a social enterprise based in East London.

We use food, art and craft to bring people together — creating spaces that support wellbeing, connection, and creativity.

A diverse group of people of different ages and backgrounds sitting around a table, working together on collage and drawing activities using photos, scissors, and pencils in a community workshop.

About Us

Rose, Shahena, and Pierre met through local projects exploring food, community, and culture. From different walks of life—community work, art, and mindfulness—they realised they shared a vision: to use food and creativity to build connection and improve wellbeing.

We run inclusive workshops where people cook, craft, tell stories and learn from one another. Whether it’s learning about Bengali vegetables at a market, stitching stories into fabric, or simply sharing a meal, we create spaces that celebrate culture, support mental health, and offer warmth during challenging times.
